Obviously, a villain lives here, but I still want to visit at all costs. They used a handful of mods, including Age of Calamitous, which is my favorite game-changing mod in Conan Exiles. In every survival game I’ve ever played, I’ve tried to make a pool. The Roman-inspired mansion is complete with what looks like a hundred pillars, large statues, and white marble throughout. This is so adorable and the perfect way to either organize your stuff or have a small clan. This could be expanded so far, giving each new clan member a new home, letting them build it and attach it to the main base.
Cosy Sandstone Cabin – Small Build
FORTIFY allows you to place tiles as you would in-game, with options for terrain elevation and type, though these have limited usefulness in Conan Exiles. You can build and plan in color-coded layers, design all manner of builds, and learn how different pieces interact. These pieces all have clearly defined lines and colors, allowing you to discern how many tiles are present at a glance.
Castle in the Water
The Desert Castle is one of my favorite builds of the past year. I built it to break my usual castle design, an aim I managed to accomplish perfectly. The castle is modest compared to some larger designs, though includes plentiful interior space, and is perfect for either roleplay or PvE gameplay. I built this on the lake near the Mounds of the Dead on The Exiled Lands, but it should fit well in most non-desert biomes. This build’s requirements are simple, using Thatch, Frontier, and Aesir. Thatch is found in the Sandstone base game set, and Frontier comes from the Savage Frontier DLC.
Why Should I Use a Blueprint?
When working on a larger project or struggling with keeping things consistent, a blueprint will help. By crafting or finding a floor plan, time, effort, and stress are saved by following a blueprint rather than hoping it turns out well. You may spot some advanced building tricks, but I will explain them further when they arise.
For the PvP community - How many layers do you build your base? Foundation walls or honeycomb?
I want to see more of this vibe in Conan Exiles builds, even if I have to do it myself. This is a good concept for a PvP build, right down to the Mitra temple. There is a great guard post, space below for pets/thralls to fight off intruders, and plenty of space for your workshop/storage. If you just want to share it with friends, a screenshot from FORTIFY will usually suffice. In-game screenshots, image editing software, and hand-drawn blueprints come with issues that can hinder the blueprint creation process. It’s not perfect, as some features will go unused as they do not apply to Conan Exiles.
There are also bosses and traps throughout the dungeon to keep things interesting. The record time to complete this dungeon is over an hour with multiple clans quitting (even when working together). This one reminds me of something out of Castlevania or Bloodborne.

That’s because it is comprised of many builds within a build. This is a perfect example of how it is perfectly fine to use someone else’s art as inspiration. After all, art should be an inspiration that keeps use fueled for generations.
Conan Exiles has one of the best building systems in the survival genre. Easy to learn yet challenging to master, many have found the system satisfyingly intriguing since its release in 2017.
